ARTICLE NUMBER: IV – NOMINATIONS AND ELECTIONS SECTION 5(a)
ARTICLE AS CURRENTLY WRITTEN:
5 (a) Balloting shall take place in the Local Lodge building where regular local lodge meetings are held.
PROPOSED CHANGE:
5 (a) Balloting shall take place in the Local Lodge building where regular local lodge meetings are held.
In Ottawa station, balloting shall take place at a site selected by the Local Lodge Executive Board that is within ten (10) km of the Ottawa International Airport.

6 (c) The Recording Secretary shall receive a monthly expense allowance of $275.00. In addition, he shall be paid for actual wages lost when it is necessary to perform the duties of his office, subject to authorization by the President.

ARTICLE AS CURRENTLY WRITTEN:
6 (d) The Vice President, Three Trustees, Conductor-Sentinel, Ottawa Executive Board Member, Educator, Local Lodge Auditor, Negotiations Representative, Shop Stewards, Board Members, London Line Station Representative, Safety and Health Committee Members, Employee Assistance Committee Members, Women’s Committee Members, Pension Committee Members, Employee Relations, Rights & Equity Committee Members, Young Machinists Committee Members, shall receive a yearly expense allowance of $550.00. This allowance shall be paid each December.

This Committee shall consist of no less than three (3) members, all age appropriate as per Grand Lodge. The Committee shall be appointed by the Local Lodge Executive Board. The Committee shall elect from themselves a Chairperson.
